The Hives' Howlin' Pelle Almqvist offers to stand in for Brian Johnson in AC/DC

The Hives’ exuberant singer Howlin Pelle Almqvist has offered his services to front AC/DC in Brian Johnson’s absence.
Renowned for his energetic performances and acrobatic stage jumps, the 37-year-old singer posted an open letter on Facebook to the Australian hard rockers.
AC/DC have postponed 10 shows in America and their future remains uncertain after doctors ordered Brian Johnson to halt touring or risk going deaf.
Supported by the hashtag #HPAforACDC, Howlin’ Pelle wrote: “Very sad to hear Brian Johnson can´t do a bunch of AC/DC shows due to health problems.

“That man is a legend. I would like offer my sincerest well wishes and get wells and also to put my foot forward and say: HERE I AM! I have many many years of experience rocking the worlds biggest stages and according to others I am the greatest frontman in rock, plus judging from the reaction in Australia your crowd already seems to really like me.
“Plus, I have already been singing those songs since I was 6 years old. So, #AC/DC please consider my application! Feel free to spread the word fans!”
On Wednesday, AC/DC’s original singer Dave Evans confirmed he would jump at the chance to sing with them again, telling Sydney Morning Herald: "It'll never happen. But it would be nice to do one guest performance."
It’s currently unclear whether AC/DC’s shows at London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and Manchester Etihad Stadium this June are affected by Brian’s diagnosis.
