Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland has confirmed he’s working on a new musical project with Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker!

Last night, Wes took to Instagram to share a brief clip of Travis laying down some drums in the recording studio. He captioned it: “Doing drums with the man himself @travisbarker on a yet to be titled new project!”

Wes later posted a further picture of himself and his wife Carré Callaway at The Village Recording Studios in Los Angeles, writing: "My gal came to visit me after being locked away at The Village for 2 days.

“Wrote 7 songs in 12 hours. That's a new record. More drums from @travisbarker to come.”

We will bring you more details of the as-yet-untiled project as soon as we hear it.

Last year, Wes released a new album with his death metal band he formed alongside younger brother Scott, Big Dumb Face, entitled ‘Where Is Duke Lion? He's Dead...’. It was the brothers’ first record in 16 years.

It’s currently unclear when Limp Bizkit’s long-awaited sixth studio album ‘Stampede of the Disco Elephants’ will see the light of day.

Asked when it will be released, Wes told NME last October: “I don’t know. I did what I was going to do on it over the past few years, and I think Fred’s just trying to figure out what he wants to do. I know he’s in a studio working on it right now, but I’m not sure what he’s doing.

"I’m basically waiting for him to finish something so that I can take it and starting mixing and editing it into whatever it’s going to be. We did so many sessions – there’s 28 or 29 songs, and whatever he chooses out of that to do vocals on, I’ll take that and work on it at my house and turn it into a record."
