It's streaming for free next week

Linkin Park’s Carpool Karaoke episode will air next week, the band have announced.

Alongside The Hangover actor Ken Jeong, Chester Bennington and his Linkin Park bandmates Mike Shinoda and Joe Hahn filmed the episode just a week before Chester’s death.

In August, executive producer James Corden said that the episode would only see the light if Chester’s family give the go ahead, explaining: “We will navigate it as delicately as possible and just adhere to whatever wishes (Chester’s family) would want because I don’t think there’s any other way we could deal with it. It’s a tragedy.”

Chester’s widow Talinda personally thanked Corden for the gesture at the time and now she has confirmed the entire family have given it their blessing.

So every fan on the planet can watch it, rather than being available solely on Apple Music, the episode will be streamed for free on Linkin Park’s Facebook page at 4pm on Thursday 12th October.

Both Linkin Park and Talinda shared an image on social media showing Chester at the wheel with Joe, Mike and Ken in a fit of laughter.
