Korn vocalist Jonathan Davis has unveiled details of his debut solo album ‘Black Labyrinth’.

Released on Friday 25th May 2018 via Sumerian Records, the album features 13 new thematically-weighty songs including the blistering lead single ‘What It Is’.

Among the album’s themes are religion, consumerism, apathy and the Ganzfield experiment; a technique used in parapsychology to test people for the sixth sense.

“There’s a level of enlightenment I want to achieve. With all of the bulls--- going, everyone is stuck on their f---ing cell phones. This takes us way out of that,” comments Jonathan Davis.

“No matter how hard you try to fight bad things in your life, life will be what it is. It’s up to you to accept that, combat it, and move forward, or it’s up to you to be in denial. Then, it becomes a thorn in your side until you finally deal with it. This is it. Just deal with it.”

He added: “It took 10 years, and I’m so glad this project is finally out. It is something that is very close to me and I’m excited for the world to finally hear it. This time, I’m pulling something out of the audience.

“I’ve bared my soul for so f—ing long, I thought it’d be really cool to pull listeners in a different direction for once.

“I’m taking them out of that dark place and into somewhere that’s spiritual, positive, and makes them really think. It’s just art. I’ve changed lives with Korn, but I wanted to open minds with this s---.”

To whet fans’ appetites ahead of the album’s release, Jonathan has treated fans to a 30-second preview of all 13 album tracks. Cast your cochleas on it here:
