Manchester City share strange parody of Nirvana's 'Nevermind' album artwork
Featuring a computer animated Jack Grealish
Manchester City have shared a bizarre parody of Nirvana’s seminal ‘Nevermind’ album cover.
Promoting Manchester City’s Big City Weekender event that’s happening on Saturday and Sunday to coincide with the Manchester derby, the Premier League champions shared their take on Nirvana’s ‘Nevermind’ artwork on Twitter alongside the ingenious caption ‘Smells like 𝗧𝗘𝗔𝗠 spirit!’
Manchester City’s version of the 1991 artwork features a computer-generated Jack Grealish wearing shorts and submerged in a swimming pool like ‘Nevermind’ baby Spencer Elden over three decades ago.
Instead of chasing a dollar bill, Grealish is swimming after a Big City Weekender ticket that’s dangling tantalisingly on a fishhook.
The design also features the Manchester City logo in the top left corner and the words ‘Big City Weekender’ where ‘Nirvana Nevermind’ is written on the original sleeve.

Naturally, many Twitter users have been poking fun at Manchester City's parody saying that it shows ‘Grealish is a diver.’
Another wrote: “I don’t think Kurt (Cobain) would have liked this.”
A Manchester City fan also posted a picture of football legend and pundit Roy Keane giving it a cynical glare:
And, of course, another fan has shared a crudely photoshopped version featuring Liverpool's Mo Salah:
