After listing his various projects, DeLonge signed his post out by writing: “Maybe throw in a bit of Blink-182, if we can build back that "special something" that was once there.”

Now, in an interview with Kevin Klein Live, Mark Hoppus has said DeLonge’s Facebook post “came as a surprise.”

Gushing about DeLonge’s replacement Matt Skiba, Hoppus continued: “He’s such a good friend. He’s an amazing songwriter, amazing lyricist, amazing singer, guitar player, I mean he’s awesome.”
