Linkin Park are selling nearly 200 instruments including keyboards, guitars and samplers to raise money for charity.

The auction will take place at the Reverb website on Wednesday 4th April with a portion of proceeds going to Linkin Park’s Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF) charity Music for Relief, which provides aid to people and communities affected by natural disasters.

The pieces of gear up for sale have been used on the road and in the studio over the past 15 years and include the keytar featured in the ‘What I’ve Done’ music video and a Moog Etherwave Plus Theremin used by Mike Shinoda.

Other items include the Amplivox S602M Megaphone Brad Delson used on tour in 2011, a sticker-covered road case, multiple Linkin Park Special Edition models of the Open Labs Neko XXL Gen5 DAW keyboard workstation and several Akai MPC500s the band used on various tours to trigger samples and sequence beats.

"Throughout the last 13 years, Linkin Park fans have been incredibly generous supporters of Music for Relief, truly enabling our mission to help survivors and communities in the wake of natural disasters," said Whitney Showler, vice-president of operations and programs at EIF.

Linkin Park founded Music for Relief in the aftermath of the Indian Ocean tsunami on Boxing Day in 2004.
