NOFX have paid poignant tribute to a fan who died after hitting his head at the band’s show in Copenhagen, Denmark.

20-year-old Samuel Pollas hit his head on the floor of the Den Gra Hal venue last Wednesday night (15th June) and complained of feeling sick and dizzy afterwards. Unfortunately he died in his sleep hours later.

In an emotional post on the band’s Facebook page, NOFX paid homage to Samuel and also included some words of advice from his mum.

They wrote: “This is Samuel. He was 20. He hit his head on the ground at our show in Copenhagen. He was nauseated and dizzy, but decided to go home and sleep. He never woke up. Our hearts go out to his mother and friends.

“Samuel's mother would like to give this warning given to other ‘invulnerable’ young:

“‘If you're drunk and hit your head, do not go to bed without getting it checked. let none of your friends walk home alone after a fall or blow to the head.

“‘Take care of yourselves and each other.’

“Wise words.

“RIP Sammy”

NOFX play two shows in France this week before playing a series of European and North American festivals throughout the summer.
