He makes a startling revelation

Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor has made the startling revelation that he has tried to join musical forces with Justin Bieber.

38-year-old Corey said the idea came about after he saw the Justin Bieber vs. Slipknot mash-up video 'Psychosocial Baby' on YouTube.

The fan-made video, which melds together Bieber’s ‘Baby’ and Slipknot’s ‘Psychosocial’, has amassed 12million views since it was uploaded last year.

Speaking to Revolver, Corey said he’s attempted to play an acoustic version of 'Psychosocial Baby' with the “very talented” Canadian pop star.

Referring to the mash-up, Corey said: “I know Justin wasn't responsible for it, but I just thought it was so cool.

“Everybody thought I'd be pissed about it, but I was blown away... I give him respect. He's a very talented kid and he goes above and beyond for his fans.

“I was in Baltimore on my book tour and Justin was nearby in Washington, D.C. I tried to get him down to my reading because I wanted to try to do an acoustic version of Psychosocial Baby together.

“But he was actually visiting children's hospitals. You can't say anything bad about a guy who's visiting children's hospitals.”

Earlier this year, Professor Green revealed that he’d been chatting to Slipknot percussionist Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan about recording a track together.

Slipknot headline Download Festival next summer alongside Iron Maiden and Rammstein.
