Slipknot cancel Knotfest UK and all summer tour dates
The masked mentallers issue a statement
In understandable and highly unsurprising news, Slipknot have officially cancelled their summer 2020 touring plans including Knotfest UK, the Knotfest Roadshow and Knotfest at Sea.
Curated and headlined by Slipknot themselves, Knotfest UK was due to hit The National Bowl in Milton Keynes on Saturday 22nd August 2020.
The postponed Knotfest At Sea was scheduled to sail from Barcelona in Spain on Monday 10th August and travel to Naples, Italy before arriving back in Barcelona on Friday 14th August.
The Iowan masked metallers issued a statement this afternoon (13th May) announcing they’re pulling all touring activity this summer because of the coronavirus pandemic.
"Unfortunately, Slipknot's summer 2020 touring, including the North American Knotfest Roadshow, Knotfest UK and Knotfest At Sea, will not be happening,” Slipknot wrote.
"The band looks forward to performing for its fans again, and will do so when everyone's safety can be assured.
"All ticket holders will be emailed directly with refund options, Knotfest At Sea purchasers will be contacted with postponement information."
Slipknot kicked off 2020 with a headline UK and Ireland tour that opened in Dublin and called in at Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow, Sheffield, Nottingham, Cardiff and Birmingham and London’s The O2.
