The Smashing Pumpkins and Weezer announce June 2024 UK & Ireland tour
They play six shows in June 2024
The Smashing Pumpkins and Weezer are joining forces on a six-date June 2024 tour.
Taking in five indoor venues and one outdoor location, the very special tour opens at Birmingham Utilita Arena on Friday 7th June.
The Smashing Pumpkins and Weezer’s tour then continues at London’s The O2 before taking in Dublin 3Arena, Glasgow OVO Hydro, Manchester Co-op Live and Cardiff Castle.
Tickets go on sale from Kerrang! Radio Tickets at 10am on Friday 20th October 2023.
The Smashing Pumpkins and Weezer tour follows their headline stints at BeachLife festival in California last year.
Weezer return to the UK following their stint on the Hella Mega sold out stadium tour, the release of their innovative quartet of EPs SZNZ in 2022 and massive sold out headline US tour.
The Smashing Pumpkins haven’t played the UK since their slot at Download Festival in 2019. Aside from one-off shows, their last tour took place way back in July 2013.

Joe Elliott’s childhood home
Def Leppard frontman Joe Elliott was born and raised at 61 Crookes Road in Sheffield. Ahead of Def Leppard's homecoming gigs at The Leadmill and Bramall Lane in May 2023, Joe visited the property. He wrote: "The house I was born in, grew up in, met Sav & Tony Kenning for the very time in that upstairs room you can see above me …. Sigh …. Memories!!"

John Lennon’s childhood home
Now a lovingly restored Grade II listed building preserved by the National Trust, John Lennon lived at 251 Menlove Avenue in Liverpool with his Aunt Mimi from 1945 to 1963. It featured on the cover to Oasis single 'Live Forever' in 1994 and in 2000 it was adorned with an English Heritage blue plaque.
