Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker has escaped unharmed after a car crash on Friday evening (13th July).

Travis was driving his son Landon Asher and his friend Carl Daw in his black Mercedes SUV in Calabasas, California when it collided with a school bus.

Fortunately, there were no injuries and there was nobody on the bus except for the driver. Travis’ vehicle, however, was a write off.

Travis told E! Online: "Yesterday, I was in a really bad car accident but I came out unscathed, which is pretty awesome.

"My car is totalled but I pretty much walked away OK, which is awesome. A school bus ran a red light. It was insane. I have a really big 4x4 G-Wagon and if I wasn't in that, it might have been different but it held up pretty well.”

His son Landon wrote on Instagram: “Life’s crazy...My dad, @carl.daw and I could have died today, our car was struck by school bus.. are car was Totaled thank god everyday because You never know if you’ll live to see tomorrow.”

Blink-182 were recently forced to postpone their Las Vegas residency as Travis was suffering blood clots in his arm.

"I am recovering, I have blood clots," Travis explained to E! News. "I have, I think, like 30 in my right hand in arm and I have about 10 in my left so I'm just waiting for them to clear up. I'm on blood thinners."

Travis and Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein were the sole survivors when their Learjet 60 business jet crashed during take-off from Columbia Metropolitan Airport in South Carolina in September 2008.

The drummer suffered severe burns from the crash and now no longer flies due to his fear of flying.
