The Walking Dead actor Norman Reedus and Mastodon's Brent Hinds have both got tattoos in tribute to Motörhead legend Lemmy Killmister.

The two good friends hit the Abracadabra Tattoo shop in New Orleans over the weekend to pay homage to the late singer.

Hinds posted an image of himself in the tattoo shop alongside Reedus and the two tattoo artists alongside the caption: “Making tattoos of Lemmy”

Tattoo artist Cornelius J. Breadward later shared a photo of Reedus’ simple ink – Lemmy’s name in lowercase letters. He wrote: “Just did a funny little Lemmy tattoo on Norman Reedus.”

Hinds opted for the Ace of Spades symbol with Lemmy’s initial in the centre.

Reedus, who has starred as Daryl Dixon on the Walking Dead since the first season, is a massive music fan and has starred in music videos by Keith Richards (‘Wicked As It Seems’), R.E.M (‘Strange Currencies’) and Radiohead (‘Fake Plastic Trees’).

Hinds has also delved into the world of big budget TV shows when he had a cameo as a wildling on Game of Thrones alongside band mates Brann Dailor and Bill Kelliher.
