As drastic changes of musical direction go, they don’t get much more jaw-dropping than Linkin Park’s comeback song ‘Heavy’.

The first taster of their upcoming album ‘One More Light’, ‘Heavy’ sees the band join forces with singer ‘Kiiara’ and go full on pop.

Unsurprising really given that the song is co-penned by Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter - songwriters for Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Little Mix, Ed Sheeran, Britney Spears, Fifth Harmony and more.

The follow-up to 2014’s ‘The Hunting Party’, ‘One More Light’ is released across the globe via Warner Bros. Records on Friday 19th May 2017.

Speaking about the new album earlier this month, Chester Bennington said: “There are songs that don't specifically talk about situations, they talk about a frame of thinking. Like, 'This is s*** that's going on inside my head,' or, 'This is something that I'm dealing with.' To me, also, it tells a story, but it's also revealing as well in another way, and that feels honest to me.

"People ask me, 'You guys are in the studio, right?' 'Yeah.' 'Well, what's it like?' I'm, like, 'Well, we're just focused on writing really great songs that mean something to people.'

"We're trying to connect with people. We're trying to make a record that has f***ing stellar songs that people wanna listen to all the time."
