Watch QOTSA’s Josh Homme read his CBeebies Bedtime Story
Josh Homme’s eagerly-awaited CBeebies Bedtime Story aired on Friday evening (6th October).
The first in a trio of Bedtime Stories Josh has recorded for CBeebies saw him read Zog - the story of an accident-prone dragon who vies to win a gold star with the help of a princess who dreams of being a doctor.
Ahead of reading the story, Josh turns to the camera and says: “Hey, I’m Joshua and this is my dragon Snoop-Bob Meatball.
“Do you like dragons? I love dragons, especially good dragons. And tonight’s bedtime story is about a heroic and good dragon that is learning to be the best that he can be. It’s called Zog and it’s written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Alex Scheffler.”
After wrapping up his expertly delivered story, Josh says goodbye by saying: “Now even dragons need to rest, so it’s time for Snoop-Bob Meatball to go to sleep and you too. So snuggle up and dream of faraway places and I’ll see you soon for another bedtime story. Night Night!”
Celebrities who have previously appeared on CBeebies Bedtime Stories include Tom Hardy, actor Chris Evans, Jessica Ennis-Hill, Damian Lewis, David Tennant, Rob Brydon, Tim Peake, Warwick Davis, Maxine Peake, James McAvoy and David Hasselhoff.
Country icon Dolly Parton has also recently been confirmed for an upcoming episode later this month.
