Serj Tankian united with the surviving members of Audioslave to perform ‘Like A Stone’ in Chris Cornell’s memory at two shows over the weekend.

10 songs into Prophets of Rage’s set on the Zeppelin stage at Rock im Park in Nuremberg on Saturday night (3rd June), Serj walked on stage to perform Audioslave’s 2002 anthem.

Tom Morello, Brad Wilk and Tim Commerford’s Prophets of Rage, which also features members of Cypress Hill and Public Enemy, were the penultimate act on stage ahead of headliners System of a Down.

Echoing the special performance, last night (4th June) at simultaneous event Rock am Ring in Nürburg, Serj once again teamed up with the Prophets of Rage to sing ‘Like A Stone’. Watch footage of both performances below.

Last week, footage emerged of Morello, Commerford and Wilk playing an instrumental version of ‘Like A Stone’ in a rehearsal studio.

Public Enemy and Prophets of Rage turntablist DJ Lord shared the two-minute video to his official Facebook page, which he captioned “R.I.P. #ChrisCornell”. You can watch it here.

System of a Down and Prophets of Rage both perform on the main stage at Download Festival this coming Friday (9th June).

Back in January, Chris Cornell performed with his Audioslave bandmates at Prophets of Rage’s Anti-Inaugural Ball protesting at President-elect Donald Trump.

Chris’s first performance with Audioslave in 11 years saw him sing ‘Cochise’, ‘Like a Stone’ and ‘Show Me How To Live’. He also joined Prophets of Rage on stage for set closer ‘Killing in the Name.’

Hours after performing with Soundgarden at the Fox Theatre in Detroit on Wednesday 17th May, Chris Cornell’s body was found in a bathroom in his room at the MGM Grand Detroit hotel. He was just 52.
