WATCH: Steel Panther play 'Steel Panther or Sans Panther?' on Kerrang! Radio

Jake challenges Michael Starr and Satchel

Published 17th Mar 2017

Steel Panther singer Michael Starr and guitarist Satchel joined Jake Thomson on Kerrang! Radio this morning ahead of the release of their new album ‘Lower the Bar’.

After chewing the fat about their scintillating music, Jake introduced the duo to a game of ‘Steel Panther of Sans Panther?’, where they’re challenged to identify whether unfeasibly short audio clips are their own songs or not.

Not an easy feat, the challenge led to deep splits in opinion between Starr and Satchel and the odd clanger of an answer. Watch it here:

The Los Angeles glam rockers’ fourth studio album ‘Lower The Bar’ is released via their own Kobalt Music Recordings imprint on Friday 24th March.

The band have also just released a video for the album track ‘I Got What You Want’, which was filmed during their sold-out UK arena tour last October. Check it out below.

Following the album’s release, Steel Panther will play Download Festival on Sunday 11th June where they will appear on the main stage ahead of Aerosmith and Alter Bridge.

Michael Starr commented “I'm so happy to be back at Download Festival. Download Festival 2009 was our very first show in the U.K. So this Festival holds a special place in my heart and I'm proud to be the band that holds the record for most topless chicks during our 2012 performance at Download. Hell yea!”

Headlined by System of a Down, Biffy Clyro and Aerosmith, tickets to Download Festival are on sale from Kerrang! Radio Tickets** **now.
