Weezer & Trent Reznor share songs to celebrate NASA's Juno Mission to Jupiter

Weezer and Trent Reznor have both shared brand new songs in honour of NASA’s historic Juno Mission to Jupiter.

Set to arrive in orbit of the largest planet in our solar system on 4th July – Independence Day stateside - NASA together with Apple commissioned two artists to release music to honour the landmark occasion.

Weezer’s offering is a patriotic anthem called ‘I Love The USA’, which was penned before NASA got in touch.

“We were on tour abroad, and it got me thinking a lot about America, which lead to me write ‘I Love The USA’,” says Rivers Cuomo.

“When Apple and NASA asked us to be involved with Juno’s historic landing on July 4th, this song seemed like the perfect fit.”

Made with long-term collaborator Atticus Ross, Trent Reznor’s song ‘Juno’ is typically a much more atmospheric affair that mentally transports you to outer space. Nice.
