He may have hung up his sonic screwdriver in 2010, but it turns out David Tennant still knows a few secrets about the future of Doctor Who.
David is currently starring in Broadchurch, which also stars Olivia Coleman and is written by Chris Chibnell.
Chris is set to take over as show runner for Doctor Who in 2018 when current writer Steven Moffat steps down, and David says he managed to get some details about where the show is headed.
He may not know who the next Doctor is going to be, but he did reveal that he managed to get 'couple of nuggets' and that it's all 'very exciting'.
'It's going to go to a lot of new places, whilst still being very true to the series that it has always been'.
'It's very exciting!', David added.
Season 10 of Doctor Who is set to start on April 15th. The second trailer for the show dropped this week, and gave us a few hints about where the series is heading - including the Doctor regenerating!
Peter Capaldi is set to step down from his role as the Doctor during the Christmas special this year, but fans noticed that it looked like he was already changing in the middle of the series. See what you make of it here >>
