Key 103 is upgrading! We’re set to become the city’s first national commercial radio station to broadcast from right here in Manchester.

Because of this we’re also going to be changing our name. We’ll be broadcasting across the country on DAB and here in Manchester on 103 FM as Hits Radio and Hits Radio Manchester.

Mike Toolan is going to be getting a lie-in once the changes come into place, he’ll be going solo to host the mid-morning show from 10am – 1pm every weekday.

Which means we’re going to be bringing you a sparkling new breakfast show. Matt will be producing Gethin Jones, who is best known for his TV work including Blue Peter, Dave Vitty and some girl who we’re pretty familiar with… Gemma Atkinson.

“I can’t wait to be on air with Gethin and Dave and get all our listeners starting the day with a smile and great music. I am beyond excited about a national commercial station in my hometown of Manchester.” Said Gemma.

Debbie Mac will host in the afternoons and Wes Butters will be getting you home with a brand new Drivetime show every weekday afternoon from 4pm – 7pm.

We chatted to Sarah-Jane who said, “So thrilled and excited to join the team here in Manchester. With celeb guests and music, I’ll be pulling out the SJC fun at every given opportunity. Bring it on!”

You can expect the same great banter and brilliant music, but going national means we can give you bigger guests, bigger prizes and fly the flag for Manchester to the rest of the UK. Key 103 will become Hits Radio on Monday 4th June, and we’ll continue to bring you all the news, traffic and travel for Manchester on 103 FM.

Hits Radio will broadcast on DAB Digital Radio, Freeview, online and on the app across the UK. In Manchester, the station will also broadcast on FM.
