About Hattie Pearson

We don't do the post lunch slump! Weekdays from 1pm, Hattie’s here with big tunes and chances to win MASSIVE amounts of cash! We asked Hattie a few questions to get to know her…

Interests: I love dogs but I don’t love eating them or for that matter any other animals. I eat fish though. My colleagues hate me for stinking out the office by microwaving cod for breakfast eye roll.

Skills: I know how to wrap chips the proper way in newspaper thanks to my first job as a teenager being a “wrapper” in my local chip shop.

A.O.B: I went to an all-boys school. Buy a me pint (of prosecco (I don’t drink beer)) and I’ll tell you the story behind that one.

Oh wait... this isn’t a dating profile is it? swipes left

How did you get in to radio presenting?

I have student radio to thank for that. FUSE FM at University of Manchester is where I spent a lot of my time avoiding lectures. I then went on to produce on a couple of radio stations before landing my first proper presenting job in 2013.

What other things have you done other than radio?

I like to have my fingers in pies. Not actual pies, that’s weird. Nobody likes sticky fingers. I have my own residency, GIRLS ON FILM which has been running for six years. It’s all about dancing like nobody’s watching, musical guilty pleasures and confetti canons!

I’m also really proud to say that I’m an ambassador for a local charity, Girls Out Loud who support and mentor girls.

Best thing about working on the radio?

I love going to gigs of all types of music genres. It’s a real privilege to be invited to see so many live shows and be a part of the wider music community. There really is no greater feeling than connecting with strangers at a gig when you’re all there for the same reason - soaking up the atmosphere that the band are providing.
