As Disclosure's amazing new track 'Douha (Mali Mali)' is Daisy's track of the week on KISS FRESH, we just had to get the boys, Howard and Guy Lawrence, in for a chat on KISS FRESH Breakfast with Daisy.

The brothers, who dropped their new single during lockdown, joined Daisy via a Zoom call on Friday (14th August) morning, and they didn't hold back about the hugely-anticipated new album 'Energy'.

With 'Energy' set to drop on Friday 28th August (that's just two weeks away), Disclosure revealed what fans can expect from the boys' third studio album.

Disclosure told Daisy, "Good energy I guess is the main thing. We named the album that because all of the songs on this record came together really quickly and we just had loads of fun writing them really, it was such an enjoyable experience.

"Sometimes when you are writing music it takes like years to work on one song and you have to really graft away. We had a few of those but they didn't make the cut, we ended up using the ones that kind of just fell out of our heads onto the computer."

Of course, the Disclosure boys are brothers and if they are anything like the rest of us they probably have a lot of sibling arguments, so Daisy was keen to find out if they ever disagree when choosing tracks for their album.

Admitting they do, the brothers added, "Yeah we do disagree, yeah kind of! We wrote 200 for this album and there's only 11 so you know you are never going to get down to 11 without a few conversations. But you know, they are never like fights, we are not Oasis over here, it's a little bit more of a chilled talk."

PHEWW! 🤣

'Energy', which is out at the end of August, features a number of amazing collabs, such as Kelis, Channel Tres, Common, Kehlani and Syd and Aminé and slowthai to name just a few, so Daisy was keen to find out how the boys go about choosing who to collab with.

Disclosure said, "The main thing to say is we work with people who we like their tunes. We get a list at the start of writing an album of just the people we are listening to at the moment and we hand that to our managers just to see who is up for it. The feeling is always mutual, we would never work with someone who doesn't want to work with us.

"But yeah, it's always people we are fans of and people who can write as well. We don't just work with singers they have to be able to write music with us because we don't like just sending songs to someone and being like 'here is the song sing this', we want to get in the room with them and write the song from scratch."

Meanwhile, as it was A-Level results day yesterday (Thursday 13th August), we couldn't let the boys go without asking about their own school experiences... And they weren't exactly A* students by the sound of things. 🙈

When Daisy asked the boys which of them were most likely to get kicked out of school, Howard revealed he actually did get expelled, saying, "I did, I got kicked out of school.

"It wasn't really for anything that rebellious, I was just doing this (Disclosure). I got kicked out for stuff like this."

Disclosure's brand new album 'Energy' is out on Friday 28th August.
