Is Kendrick Lamar releasing a DAMN. Collectors Edition in REVERSE?
He did say it was written to be played in reverse order 🤔
In August, following his Grammy nomination the rapper revealed that his fourth studio album Damn was written to be played in reverse. Just when we were all rushing to create our reverse playlist it now appears that he is releasing a special version that saves you the work.
In a interview he says, "It plays as a full story and even a better rhythm. It's one of my favorite rhythms and tempos within the album. It's something that we definitely premeditate while we're in the studio."
A link appeared on the Microsoft Store but seems to have been deleted.
In the original version "BLOOD." kicks off the project but "DUCKWORTH." will now kickoff the reworked version. The collector's edition will remain 14 tracks with no bonus tracks and supposedly also features a new cover portrait of Lamar.
Kendrick is the gift that keeps on giving.
The original DAMN. earned seven Grammy nominations, including Best Album.
A release date has not been confirmed yet.
