KISS x KFC “Mentoring Minute” Social Competition Terms and Conditions

These terms should be read with our general competition terms which also apply to this Competition.

1. In total, there will be three (3) competitions and three (3) winners. The competitions will run across a six (6) week period from Monday 15th April 2024 to Monday 13th May 2024. Each competition will sit across both KISSFMUK Instagram and Tik Tok accounts with a shared prize fund and will run for 2x weeks each.

2. COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN

The prize winners will be selected from those persons who successfully:

• Log in to their account on either Tik Tok or Instagram.

• Follow @KISSFMUK on the platform they enter, which will enable a representative from KISS/Bauer to contact them if they are the chosen winner.

• During the dates and times highlighted below in Section 3, the entrant will find the relevant competition post @KISSFMUK social feed on platforms Tik Tok and Instagram:

o The social post will include a video of a KISS Presenter – either Jordan Lee, Tyler West or Harriet Rose with “KISS | KFC Presents Mentoring Minute” as the intro graphic.

o The caption will ask the entrant: “Have a great piece of advice? Comment it below for a chance to WIN £500 towards your journey! 🤝”.

• In order to enter, the entrant needs to write their *piece of advice in the comments section on the competition post:

o *Only serious and comprehensive “advice” will be considered and shortlisted for the prize

o For example, a legitimate answer would be a tip on how to apply for a job or how to motivate yourself when looking for work

o All final decisions are made by the KISS FM Social and KISS FM Commercial Project Management Team

• The entrant may enter each competition once (3x competitions in total), any repeat entries will be removed and not considered for the prize.

• After the close of each competition (3x in total) KISS/Bauer will pool all valid entries (across Instagram and Tik Tok, paid and organic social posts) and select a shortlist of 20 entrants.

• Entries will be judged by a panel made up from KISS FM, the Production Manager and an independent judge.

• Entries will be judged and selected based on the following criteria:

o The piece of advice must be serious, coherent and genuinely helpful to a young person who is entering the world of work or who needs motivation to reach their goals.

o Tangible advice will be favored for example – “use this website to…” / “listen to xx podcast..

o The panel’s decision is final.

• The pool of 20x shortlisted winners will be entered into a random electronic draw where one final winner will be selected for that competition.

• The 3x winners (1x from each competition) will be confirmed after the competition they entered has closed via direct message on the social media platform they entered on (either Tik Tok or Instagram). In the event that the winner does not respond to the message and confirm receipt of the prize within 21 days of the winning message from @KISSFMUK being sent, the winner will forfeit the prize and we are within our right to select another winner in accordance to the process detailed above.

• In order to receive the prize, the entrant must provide a valid email address.

• A member of the KISS FM Commercial Project Management team will contact the winner via their email address and request their full name, valid UK bank account number, sort-code and home address that their bank is registered to. This is in order to complete the bank transfer and fulfill the prize.

• The prize will be fulfilled within 28 days from receiving the winner’s details.

2. ENTRY PLATFORMS AND COSTS

KISS FM UK’s social media channels – Tik Tok and Instagram (@KISSFMUK).

Entry by social media is free.

3. DATES

Start Date and End Date.

Competition 1: Monday 15th April @ 3:00pm to Monday 29th April @ 2:59pm

Competition 2: Monday 22nd April @ 3:00pm to Monday 6th May @ 2:59pm

Competition 3: Monday 29th April @ 3:00pm to Monday 13th May @ 2:59pm

Entries received before the Start Date or after the End Date will be invalid.

4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS

• Open to UK residents aged 16 years or over on date of entry.

• Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, incl. the Prize Provider, must not enter

• It is possible to enter the competition on each platform but you can only win once in this competition. We will select the winner for one social post then remove the winner from the other social post if they've entered twice across the other platforms.

• If you or any other person at your household has won a prize valued at £500 or more on any Bauer brand in the past 6 months, you nor they are not eligible to enter or win this competition. The full list of Bauer Media brands can be found here: https://www.bauermedia.co.uk/brands

• The winner must be free to do the virtual chat on Friday 7th May, have access to Zoom to do the call and have stable Wifi with headphones.

5. THE PRIZE

There will be THREE winners.

The Prize:

o Each competition will have a shared prize fund across Tik Tok and Instagram

o The winner of each competition will receive £500 cash sent via bank transfer or cheque

To receive the prize via bank transfer, the winner must provide their full legal name, valid UK bank account number, sort-code and home address that the bank is registered to, via email.

OTHER CONDITIONS

1. DATA PROTECTION.

Names, email addresses, and /or telephone numbers (which, for all SMS competitions, will be shared with our SMS provider,) will be collected and used to process entries. Winner’s details may be given to the prize provider to arrange delivery of the prize. Your details may remain stored after the End Date but will not be used for marketing unless you have ticked an opt-in box on entry or text STOP if entering via SMS. If you have, your details will be used in accordance with the information given when you ticked the opt-in box and gave your consent. For more details, see: http://www.bauerdatapromise.co.uk/.

2. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS.

By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you’ve submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize (if you win!). We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived
