Fresh off the release of their latest single 'Rain', Aitch and AJ Tracey joined us here at KISS HQ to chat about working with each other, UK producers, and how they deal with social media trolls.
KISS presenter Alex, started by asking is it hard finding the right person to collaborate with?
Aitch told us there needs to be a formula, "I wouldn't meet someone for the first time and then work with them."
AJ said, "I consider myself a normal guy yeah, genuinely not trying to be some hippy, I'm a normal guy to the point where like bruv what I do in my spare time is the same as what everyone else does in their spare time, I play FIFA in my boxers.
"I go meet my mates and have a drink, it's normal stuff. So when I meet someone else and they're an artist and they're acting like they're on a pedestal and they're living this magical life and they're untouchable, I don't like that, I don't want to join them. That's not relatable because I'm not like that either. Someone like Aitch or like Notes they're cool guys, to me they are like normal people, so it's easier for me to connect with them,
"In a studio you need to have a vibe, imagine me and him now go perform at a festival and we don't really mess with each other, it's going to be really awkward me and him looking at each other."
On working with producers, Aitch said, "You should just be you, I might make a banger but I'm not going to go do an Afro swing on Jay 5 and expect everyone to love it, because that's not my lay in.
"Today it could be Tay Keith but tomorrow I might find one in my email from Danny Beats from Leicester, if it's hard it's hard, I don't think anyone should be doing anything, you should just do you."
