Our hearts were full to the brim in March 2022 when 'Buss Down' rapper Aitch and Chicken Shop Date star Amelia Dimoldenberg seemingly confirmed that they were dating, with Aitch even going as far as dubbing the YouTuber his 'wife'. But following their 'split', fans have been wondering if it was all a PR stunt for his hit track 'Baby'.
Well, lucky for you, we got to ask Aitch the big question as we caught up with him at The BRIT Awards 2023 with Mastercard, where he won his first BRIT Award - and in our game of 'Say it or shot it', it looks like the rapper confirmed fans' suspicions...
Was Aitch and Amelia's relationship a PR stunt?
When Harriet asked Aitch if the pair's romance was a PR stunt, the rapper fell rather quiet, opting to take a shot instead of answering the burning question. When Harriet laughed: "I'm going to take that as a yes," the 'My G' singer simply laughed.
Not only that, but when Harriet checked in on Aitch's Valentine's Day plans with his then-girlfriend Lola Rose Thompson, he confessed that the most romantic thing he had ever done was: "The PR stunt with Amelia". So there we have it!
But what actually happened between Aitch and Amelia? And who is his new girlfriend? ICYMI, let us break down the pair's relationship for you...
Are Aitch and Amelia dating?
After weeks of teasing on social media that he was 'dating' someone special, Aitch unveiled the mystery girl he'd been out on dates with as Amelia, with the 28-year-old gushing about the 'Taste' rapper on KISS Breakfast with Tyler at the start of March.
Amelia then confirmed to us that she'd been hanging out with Aitch, admitting: "I like him a lot". When Tyler asked what she likes the most about Aitch, Amelia sarcastically responded: "I love that he loves me so much. It's nice when someone pays you attention and is interested in you right?"
Aitch then dropped his epic single 'Baby' with Ashanti, with Amelia starring in the amazing music video.
Are they still together?
HOWEVER despite all of the above, it still wasn't clear if the pair are actually dating, or whether it was all just part of Aitch's promotion for his track 'Baby' - on the day of the single's release, Aitch shared a snap of the pair writing: 'Amelia Armstrong 💍😍'.
Amelia was quick to comment, writing: 'Steady on with that caption Harrison 😅😅 ❤️❤️'.
However - we have some seriously bad news for fans of the pair, as it appears they indeed decided to just be friends. Although neither Aitch or Amelia officially confirmed the relationship, the pair shared the disappointing news in April that if they had been seeing each other before, they weren't anymore.
Uploading a 'break up' video to TikTok, Amelia said: “I have something to tell you,” to which Aitch replied: “I have something to tell you.”
The pair then blurt out "we should just be friends" in sync.
Amelia then says: “Yeah I think we’re better as friends.”
Aitch goes on to add: "I can’t sit back and watch you every other week go on a date with other rappers. And I know it’s not real but I just can’t do it.”
Amelia responds: “I mean, I can’t stop doing that, I love to date. You’re going on tour as well.”
Are Aitch and Amelia friends?
Although the pair are 'just friends', it seems like they are they very best of friends, with the couple buying each other matching 'best friends' bracelets.
After seeing the video, fans of the pair were quick to comment, with many thinking the whole thing was just a publicity stunt.
One wrote: 'It was all for pr 💔', to which Amelia replied: 'It wasn’t ❤️'.
Another then wrote: 'no cause why did this hurt my feelings' (sic), with Amelia replying: 'Mine too ❤️At least I’ve gained a best friend for life 🍤'.
Who is he dating now?
Following his 2022 whirlwind 'romance' with Amelia, as 2023 rolled along, it appeared the rapper had moved on - although, sadly, his new romance didn't make it to the end of the year.
Aitch went public with his romance with Australian beauty Lola Rose Thompson at the start of the year, however in November 2023 Lola seemingly confirmed that the pair had split, sharing a video of herself and her best friend, captioning: 'When you and your bestie are finally single at the same time.'
Prior to the news of her being single, Aitch confirmed that he was off the market in January 2023, debuting his new relationship with Lola whilst enjoying time together in Bali. The rapper was spotted on numerous occasions with Lola, with the model sharing a very cosy looking snap of the pair to her Instagram page.
Sadly, following Lola's video announcing that she's single, it appears the pair have now unfollowed each other on social media.

Aitch knows what it's like to do a hard day's graft. Before making the big time in the world of music and rap, he worked with his Grandad as a labourer.

If you cast your minds back to 2018, Aitch went viral after dropping a freestyle rap, at just 18-years-old. The video catapulted him to fame, and kickstarted a pretty epic career.
He's not afraid to speak his mind
Aitch will tell it how it is! In 2021, the rapper spoke out against criticism surrounding the 'Learning Curve' artwork'. Following negative comments about the diverse models featuring in his 'Learning Curve' music video, he spoke out on Spotify's Who We Be TALKS_ podcast, where he admitted he found it "hard to witness."
He said: "All the negative stuff was mad to see; obviously, rappers get hate all the time, but it was a lot, and it was also s--t to see men hating on girls that much, it's hard to witness."
He’s a Manchester boy
He's often jetting all over the world and enjoying global success, but Aitch still lives in his hometown of New Moston, Manchester. He was born and raised in the major city, and speaking to NME he said: "The Manchester scene is getting bigger and bigger and artists are getting more views online a lot quicker. It feels like it's gradually moving forward."
'Rain' with AJ Tracey is his most viewed music video
With over a whopping 61 million views, Aitch and AJ Tracey's track 'Rain' serves as the rapper's most viewed music video on YouTube at the minute.
His other most viewed videos include 'Taste (Make It Shake)' (48 million), 'Straight Rhymez' (26 million), 'Buss Down' (20 million) and 'Baby' (18 million).

He has a sister
Aitch likes to keep his personal life private, however touched all of our hearts in August 2022 when he released his track 'My G'. The song is dedicated to his sister, Gracie Armstrong, who has Down Syndrome, with Aitch revealing that all the funds generated from the song were donated to the Down's Syndrome Association.
Introducing the music video, Aitch writes: 'This song is dedicated to Gracie Armstrong. You have the biggest heart in the world! Don't change for no one. Love you kid x'.
Gracie has been spotted regularly on Aitch's TikTok and Instagram Stories - and it's clear the pair are incredibly close!

He's won a BRIT Award for Best Hip Hop/Rap/Grime Act
On 11th February, Aitch won Best Hop/Rap/Grime Act at The BRIT Awards 2023! The rapper gave an inspiring acceptance speech, telling fans: "I just want to say not many people where I'm from, especially my side of Manchester, get the opportunity to stand up here and receive such an amazing gift or reward. I think that's the main reason I do it, to set examples, to make people know that, it's possible no matter where you're from and just because not 5 million people have done it before you, that you can do it. So yeah big up everyone."
He has performed with Coldplay
As 'A Sky Full Of Stars' legends Coldplay brought their 'Music Of The Spheres' world tour to Manchester in June 2023, the band celebrated the city's musical talent by bringing none other than Aitch onto the stage! Standing alongside the band, Aitch performed his hit 'Buss Down', much to the delight of the adoring crowd!
Although we were totally shipping Aitch and Amelia's romance, it seems their friendship is just as cute! 😍
