Ariana Grande and Megan Thee Stallion have teamed up with none-other than Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon to deliver a Christmas banger. We've heard of some unexpected collaborations in the past but this is truly a surprise, especially considering the star power on display.

The track is titled 'It Was A… (Masked Christmas)' and has a pandemic themed twist on the classic Christmas song. It was first teased on Jimmy Fallon's Instagram on 6th December, dropping that evening with a hilarious music video to accompany it, helping to make another COVID Christmas that bit more fun.

In the video Jimmy and Ariana live out the cottage-core dream, with icons of Christmas popping up throughout. This isn't a normal Christmas, however: this is a masked Christmas, and COVID iconography consequently appears throughout the video. When Megan appears she is at one point even dressed as a nurse, with a covid jab in her hand.

This video is all that we could wish for from the collaboration we never knew we wanted. And WE ARE HERE FOR IT.

This isn't the first time the three have collaborated (albeit it is the first time they have all collaborated at once). Ariana Grande and Megan collaborated earlier this year when Megan appeared on a remix of Ariana's song '34+35' with the one and only Doja Cat 🐱!

This also, strangely, isn't the first time Jimmy and Megan have collaborated. They worked together on a sketch for the Tonight Show in 2019 entitled 'Hot Girl Fall', a play on Megan's hit song 'Hot Girl Summer'. Ariana is also a regular guest on Jimmy's show. So surely we should have seen this coming... Right?
