Beauty and The Beast actress Emma Watson left fans confused on Sunday evening when she showed off her new Time's Up tattoo as she walked the red carpet at the Vanity Fair after-party for the Oscars.

The former Browns University student wore a long black gown on the red carpet, as she debuted her new hairstyle and forearm tattoo, but it was the grammatical error on her inking that really got people talking.

Meaning to say 'Time's Up' to support the movement against sexual harassment, Emma's tattoo missed out the apostrophe and read, 'Times Up'.

But now, after receiving backlash on Twitter, the Harry Potter actress has hit back with a seemingly witty response.

Tweeting out to her 28.7 million followers and explaining that her tattoo was actually fake, Emma wrote, 'Fake tattoo proofreading position available. Experience with apostrophes a must.' sic

Of course Emma's response was greeted with humour by her fans, with many jokingly 'accepting' her job offer.

Well played Emma! 😂
