Iain Stirling admits he’s been told off by Islanders’ mums for his jokes about them

With the brand spanking new series of Winter Love Island hitting our TV screens on Sunday 12th January, we were super hyped to have the legend that is Iain Stirling joining Alex & Swarzy as they cover KISS Breakfast this week.
Of course, after Caroline Flack stepped down from the upcoming series, ITV announced that Iain's girlfriend Laura Whitmore would be presenting the main show, so we were keen to find out all of the gossip about the hugely-anticipated series.
Speaking to Alex and Swarzy, the Scottish comedian revealed he doesn't actually meet the contestants until the final show, and admitted that he's not been given much information about Winter Love Island, because he is a 'liability'.
He told the guys, "The thing you've got to know about me is I am not entrusted to any of this information. I used to think that I wasn't given the information because nobody was given the information, but now I live with somebody who is also on the show, I realise I'm just not given the information... Because i'm a liability!"
He then added, "It's a very popular show and it's been going well thus far. It's still really a baby. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. More of the same.
"We aren't on an island this year, it's on a continent which is a bit different. We are land locked."
If you are a fan of Love Island you'll know Iain doesn't exactly hold back with his jokes about the Islanders, something fans have grown to love over the past five series... But not everything makes the cut.
Revealing he arrives to work around 2pm every day, Iain watches the edited episode and adds in jokes, before passing it on to bosses for their approval... To which they sometimes cut out his inappropriate jokes. 🙈
And although he's never been in 'trouble' from the directors before, Iain did reveal some of the Islanders' mums have complained about the jokes he's made about their son and daughters.
