It's been six years since Amy Winehouse died at the age of just 27, and Lady Gaga has paid an emotional tribute to the young singer saying, 'We all miss you and your voice Amy. ❤️

Continuing, 'Good time to remember to treat people that we love with dignity and respect. What a talent.'

She posted the message on Twitter along with a photo of the 'Back to Black' singer with her iconic beehive hair and heavy eyeliner, smoking a cigarette.

Gaga's tweet has received over 41,000 retweets and over 100,000 hearts in less than 24 hours.

Amy's death affected Lady Gaga greatly and she was reported to be "devastated" and unable to speak for 48 hours because she was in "such shock".

Speaking at the time to the ABC panel Gaga said, "I think the most unfortunate thing about it all is the way that the media spins things, like we can learn from Amy's death.

"I don't feel that Amy needed to learn any lessons. I felt that the lesson was for the world to be kinder to the superstar."

American singer Tony Bennett who has collaborated with both Lady Gaga and the late Amy Winehouse, has previously said that he regrets not trying to help the singer before her untimely death.

Amy's last studio recording was with Tony when they recorded 'Body and Soul' which appears on her posthumous compilation album 'Lioness: Hidden Treasures', and on Tony's album 'Duets II'.

On the 23rd July 2011 Amy Winehouse was found by her bodyguard apparently lying in the same position he had seen her in hours before. He called the emergency services and she was pronounced dead on the scene.

It was later revealed she had died from accidental alcohol poisoning.
