He's new to the whole fatherhood thing but it seems Liam Payne is embracing life as a daddy.

The One Direction star was on the nightshift last night with his new born son and it seems baby Payne goes through a LOT of nappies! 🙈

At 2.31am Liam shared a hilarious meme of Ross from Friends shouting 'NO! No, no! alongside the caption 'When the fourth nappy happens in 5 minutes.'

Earlier in the night Liam thanked his fans for their overwhelming support towards himself and girlfriend Cheryl since they announced the birth of their little one.

He wrote, 'Thank you to everyone for all the love and all of the supportive messages for myself and Cheryl official. It really means a lot.'

After months of speculation regarding Cheryl's pregnancy, the couple broke the news on Saturday night that they'd welcomed a baby boy into the world on Wednesday 22nd March.

Sharing details, Cheryl captioned a cute snap of proud dad Liam cradling the tiny tot in his arms.

She wrote, 'On Wednesday 22nd March Liam and I became parents to an incredibly beautiful, healthy baby boy, weighing 7lb 9 and looking like a dream. Although he still doesn't have a name he is already stealing hearts. We are all madly in love and overwhelmingly happy with our little arrival. Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers around the world. A day that now has a different meaning to me forever 💙.'

Liam also shared the same cute photo with the caption, 'My close friends and family know there are very few times when I'm left speechless... wow!'

'I'm incredibly happy to welcome our new baby boy into the world, it's a moment that I will never forget for the rest of my life and my favourite memory I have so far.'

'I'm completely in awe of his incredible mother and how she has been the whole way through this, she's really made my dreams come true. We haven't named him yet but he's already capturing hearts including mine. I feel very blessed.'

'Happy Mother's Day everyone!'

The couple are yet to announce a name for their son but bookies have suspended betting to 4/1 that they'll call him Alfie, due to Cheryl declaring her love for the name in an interview a few years ago.

Although it's understood the couple will keep their son out of the limelight, we don't think proud dad Liam will be able to resist giving his fans constant updates.
