Years & Years reveal how they got Dame Judi Dench to narrate their trailer

Years & Years have just released their second album 'Palo Santo' and recently revealed how they managed to get acting icon Dame Judi Dench to narrate the trailer for their album, 'Palo Santo'. Speaking to our team, they joked that they had "tricked her," going on to say, "We told her we were Coldplay!"
However, Olly Alexander later admitted that he had a contact because he was in a play with her many years ago. "We called her up and asked her if she would do it, and she said 'yes'!" Olly explained. When asked about the filming of the trailer, they revealed they recorded it at Dame Judi's house and they "had crisps and champagne". Not only did Years & Years manage to get Dame Judi Dench to appear in their trailer, they also had the opportunity to meet Rihanna on a TV programme. Speaking to us about the meeting they said were VERY excited about it.
Olly said, "She had an aura," before going on to describe her as "invincible and just so glamorous".
He added, "Our dressing room was right next to hers and when I saw the name on the door, I couldn't believe it!" He even joked with his fellow bandmates that she might even have someone to open the door for her as she's so famous, with Emre joking, "Little known fact, Rihanna is a germophobe!"

This year alone, Years & Years have released two singles including their latest one, ‘If You're Over Me', which reached Number 6 in the UK charts. The London-based band also dropped their latest album, 'Palo Santo' earlier this month and the limited edition box set also came with a gift of temporary tattoos.
