MOBO AWARDS 2025: Here's what went down...

For nearly 30 years, MOBO has celebrated and elevated Black music and culture around the world.

It’s been pivotal in supporting the growth of Black music and culture on a global scale, championing homegrown talent, and artistic excellence across genres including Rap, Hip Hop, R&B, Soul, Grime, Drill, Gospel, Jazz, Reggae, African music, Electronic/Dance, Alternative music and beyond.

And for the first time ever this year the iconic MOBO Awards landed in the city of Newcastle!

Kicking off award season on Tuesday 18th February 2025, LIVE from the Utilita Arena Newcastle, the North East welcomed Europe’s biggest celebration of Black music and culture, all hosted by TV Personality Indiyah Polack and Comedian Eddie Kadi.

With performing artists including Darkoo, Nova Twins, DJ AG, Pozer and LeoStayTrill, as well as an R&B celebration medley featuring Jaz Karis, Nao, Sasha Keable, Shae Universe and UK R&B royalty Shola Ama, led by our very own DJ Ace, Spice, Krept and Konan and Bashy all hit the stage!
