It’s 50 years since homosexuality has no longer been illegal in England and Wales, and three years since England and Wales voted to legalise same-sex marriage.
The LGBT+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender), community has come a long way in those 50 years, yet it faces daily reminders that the battle for true equality is far from over, and hard-won rights can be threatened, attacked and taken away
Pride seeks to raise awareness of these issues and campaign for the equality that every individual deserves.
Pride in London is one of the largest Pride events worldwide, which sees thousands of people march through the streets of London, to celebrate the LGBT+ community and spotlight the issues it faces.
