Beyonce will hit the Grammys stage this Sunday (8th February) to introduce Common and John Legend’s performance of Selma-inspired ‘Glory’ by singing a gospel anthem.

The ‘Flawless’ singer, who is nominated for six awards this year, will perform ‘Take My Hand, Precious Lord’, known as a favourite of Martin Luther King Jr, before transitioning into the Oscar-nominated track.

"We’re getting an introduction from the great Beyonce," rapper Common told Rolling Stone. "That’s a whole other level to have her singing ‘Precious Lord’. I’m excited.

"It’s the Grammy’s stage, so we’re going to deliver some of the best performances we’ve ever had."

He continued: "Expect the spirit of what the movie is about, the spirit of what the movement is about, and the spirit of what Selma is about.”

Beyonce’s Selma tribute will have a more serious tone than her performance at last year’s Grammy Awards, in which the 33-year-old delivered a sensuous rendition of her hit single ‘Drunk In Love’.

She joins a staggering list of performers at the 57th annual Grammy Awards which includes Kanye West, Katy Perry, Madonna, Ariana Grande and more.
