Camila Cabello recorded a demo for The Chainsmokers’ ‘Closer’ and it’s INSANE

The Chainsmokers’ dominated the charts with their hit ‘Closer’ featuring Halsey, but it turns out the song could have ended up sounding very different.
A short video uploaded to Twitter recently shows a snippet of 'Closer' sung by none other than former Fifth Harmony singer Camila Cabello.
The video was uploaded by a Brazilian fan account saying, 'DEMO Camila singing "Closer" @TheChainsmokers which was recorded with the Halsey.'
While this seems to be news to most people maybe this now brings into context some seemingly random tweets between Camila and The Chainsmokers in October last year.
Camila started off by simply tweeting 'Hey', to which The Chainsmokers responded with a line from 'Closer' saying, 'I was doing just fine before I met you'.
Camila then responded with the next line, before The Chainsmokers ended the conversation saying, '@camilacabello97 damnit do we miss you!'
While the collab never ended up happening, we are crossing our fingers that a Camila x Chainsmokers project will happen soon. Come on guys!
