Destiny's Child and Brandy mash-up will be released
99 Souls can finally release their Destiny's Child/Brandy and Monica mash-up
House duo 99 Souls will release Girl Is Mine, their mash-up of Brandy and Monica's Boy Is Mine and Destiny's Child Girl this Friday (Friday 6 November).
Nearly a year after the first play of Girl Is Mine, the UK DJ/producers will officially release the song on Friday after Beyoncé gave the go-ahead and after Brandy re-recorded her Boy Is Mine vocals for the remix.
Of the song, the duo said: "The original 'Boy Is Mine' is Brandy and Monica arguing, and the Destiny's Child song is from a woman's perspective; we wanted to tell a story from a man".
