Ed Sheeran has a Bond theme tune ready for if he is ever called upon. The singer is ready to footsteps of Shirley Bassey, Adele, and Sam Smith.

Speaking on The Late Late Show, Sheeran revealed to Irish host Ryan Tubridy that he's had a Bond theme song ready for the last three years, and is just eagerly awaiting the phone call. Well, email in his case.

"With Bond, I've had a theme tune written for about three years, just in case," he shared, even though he hasn't been called yet.

He also refused to share the title of the track with the host, "because someone might steal it", but he says "it's good, it's good."

This isn't the first time he's planned ahead for a collaboration. He spilled that he'd done the same for his most recent collaboration with Eminem for the song 'River' on the rapper's new album Revival.

"I just recently did a song with one of my all time heroes Eminem, and when we did a song together I already had the song planned, because I was like if ever I work with Eminem I've got this song.

"So it's the same with Bond... If ever I'm called, I'll be like, 'Right, here you go."

Daniel Craig is set to return for Bond 25 which will be released on November 8, 2019. There is still time!
