Could it work?

Last week we reported how Martin Garrix said it was unlikely he would release his collaboration with Ed Sheeran and fans weren't happy with this news!

After months of delays the 20-year-old DJ told a Dutch radio station,

"I didn’t release a radio single for five to six months, so then you get annoyed. So I don’t think we’re ever going to release the track."

However the tune, which Martin has played at a number of festivals, is loved by his fans and they have now started a petition on change.org

The petition, created by Tristan Barraclough from the UK is asking fans to support the release of 'Rewind, Repeat It' saying.

'This is now down to the fate of the fans wanting the song to be released; if we show enough love surely there could be a possible chance! (No promises!)'

After just two days the petition has had over 1000 supporters and needs just 168 names (at the time of writing) to be sent to Martin and Ed's respective record labels.

You can sign the petition here.

Here is the audio from Martin performing the song at Ultra Music Festival in the USA last year.

Individually both Martin Garrix and Ed Sheeran have songs in the Big Top 40.

Martin's latest release featuring Dua Lipa 'Scared to be Lonely' is on our playlist along with Ed's former number one single 'Shape of You'.
