Pharrell Williams to pen children's book based on hit anthem 'Happy'

He's signed a three-book deal

Already a multi-million selling singer, producer, song-writer, record label boss and fashion designer, the unstoppable Pharrell Williams has added yet another string to his bow.

Yes, 41-year-old Pharrell is poised to write four children’s picture books after signing a deal with publishers Putnam Books for Young Readers.

The first book will be based on his colossal international chart hit ‘Happy’ and is set for release on 22nd September in America.

It will come complete with photographs of children from all corners of the globe "celebrating what it means to be happy."

The initial run will be limited to 250,000 copies.

Of course, Pharrell isn’t the first celebrity to delve into the lucrative world of children’s books.

Madonna, David Walliams, Ricky Gervais, Jamie Lee Curtis, Sarah The Duchess of York, Whoopi Goldberg, John Lithgow, Paul McCartney, LeAnn Rimes, Will Smith and John Travolta are just some of the many stars who have had works published.
