In the crossover we never knew we needed, it turns out that KISS fave Stormzy is a HUGE Taylor Swift fan! After they were both in attendance at the MTV EMAs 2022 on 13th Nov, Stormzy was determined to get a selfie with T-Swizzle.

After achieving that all-important selfie on the night, Stormz has now opened up about the moment in an interview on The Jonathan Ross Show airing on 25th Nov, admitting he'd been totally starstruck by the 'Anti-Hero' singer.

"I met Taylor, she’s lovely," he gushed. "She’s amazing. She was just so lovely. We all left and looked at everyone like, ‘How nice is she?’ We spoke for like an hour, she had advice - you know when you’re just kind of like, ‘Ah, you’re just amazing.’ I’m a fan though."

On the night, Stormzy took to his Instagram Story, taking us all on a rollercoaster ride of emotions as we saw him first attempt to get some time with her, then achieve the meeting and eventually getting that selfie.

Putting out the feelers

Stormzy started off by sharing a video of himself backstage at the MTV EMAs pleading with Taylor to have a selfie with him...

"Man's running around"

Stormzy doubled down on his request, telling his 3 million followers that he was "running around" trying to get a selfie with the 'Anti-Hero' hitmaker.

It's happening!

Big Mike got a meet! Stormzy told his followers that the moment was arriving as he told his team around him to "relax", as one of his team noticed he was shiny and powdered his face - you've got to look your best self for Taylor...

On his way

Stormzy looked absolutely chuffed on his way to meet Taylor!

The big moment

Stormzy shared the super cute selfie on his Instagram Story, with Taylor looking equally happy to meet him too!

"So happy"

After he'd got his selfie, Stormzy shared a snap of himself with a big grin on his face and told his fans he was "so happy" to have met Taylor.

She even made it to the grid, with Stormzy sharing the photo on his Instagram page alongside the sweet caption: '🥹❤️'

Fans absolutely loved the snap, with many taking to the comments. One wrote: 'This is the single greatest photograph in the history of the world,' while another added: 'What in the multiverse is going on?' and one other commented: 'So wholesome. So happy. We love a man who manifests his dreams 😂.'

Taylor took home four of the six awards she was nominated for - Best Artist, Best Pop, and Best Video and Best Longform Video for 'All Too Well: The Short Film'. Stormzy was also nominated in the Best Longform Video category for 'Mel Made Me Do It'.

Taylor previously shared how much of a fan of Stormzy she is after the pair were locked in a chart battle. Her single 'Me!' was up against 'Vossi Bop' for the top spot, with her saying at the time: "I love Stormzy. I’d happily lose to him" - which she did.

Could this mutual love see a collab between the pair in the future...? 👀

Now, on paper, this collaboration shouldn't work as well as it does. Little Mix are a fully fledged pop group and at this point in his career, Stormzy hadn't really moved into this genre yet. However, the fact 'Power', an anthemic pop song, works as well as it does speaks to Stormzy's versatility as an artist and his ability to deliver the goods as a guest rapper.
