Wolves partners with Football for Future
The premier league team will help fight climate change
Wolverhampton Wanderers FC has announced a partnership with Football for Future.
Football for Future is an environmental non for profit made up of sustainability experts, climate scientists and football-creatives, with a mission to build a more environmentally sustainable culture in football.
Wolves hope to become an industry leader in environmental sustainability. The club will develop a wide sustainability strategy, conduct staff workshops and undertake a comprehensive review of the club’s environmental footprint.
The club has also announced they will engage fans in the climate conversation.
Quarter of clubs cloud flood regularly
Climate change will have an impact on football, with some stadiums at risk.
Research by Playing Against The Clock, claims quarter of professional clubs in England could be flooded on a regular basis by 2050. In the Premier League this includes Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge, West Ham’s London Stadium and Southampton's St. Mary’s. In the Championship Hull and Cardiff are at risk.

Thom Rawson from Football for Future said: “Wolves have shown real commitment to sustainability by engaging in this trailblazing partnership. We look forward to fostering culture change and positive attitudes towards environmental sustainability at the club as part of this project.”
