Camila Cabello's live-action remake of Cinderella is set to skip the cinemas and head straight to Amazon Prime Video on 3rd September, aka THIS FRIDAY. Ahead of the exciting release, the streaming platform have teased some of the original music we will be hearing in the new film, with Camila showing off her impressive vocals.

A short teaser trailer for the film was released back in July, with an official trailer for Cinderella dropping in early August. The streaming service is now amping up the excitement for the film's release by sharing a snippet of a track which will feature in the film, called 'Million to One'.

Captioning the clip, Amazon Prime Video wrote: 'If it’s a Million to One, @camila_cabello is gonna be that one 💕📺 #CinderellaMovie (September 3rd) 🎭 #CamilaCabello'.

As well as offering up her stunning vocals, Camila has been heavily involved in writing the music for the upcoming film, working with her co-star and musical theatre legend Idina Menzel. Idina will also be starring in the film, playing the Evil Stepmother.

In a plot based on the classic Disney fairytale, the official trailer shows Camila's character Cinderella trying to pursue her dream of making dresses - stumbling into the loving arms of Prince Robert, played by Nicholas Galitzine, along the way.

Of course, the official trailer also has appearances from fellow starring actors and huge names such as Billy Porter, Idina Menzel, Pierce Brosnan and James Corden.

In the short teaser clip released at the beginning of July, we saw Cinderella working away on a sewing machine, inside a shop named Dresses By Ella. A whole host of beautiful dresses, melodic singing and old-time waltzing follows!

Amazon previously took to their Instagram back in May to release the first two photographs of the film, as well as teasing fans that the film will arrive in the month of September.

Camila, the superstar singer behind bangers like 'Havana' and 'Crying In The Club', is set to star in the live-action adaptation of the popular Disney tale, and we are WAY too excited. Sony Pictures reportedly handed the film's worldwide premiere rights to Amazon.

Sharing two stunning shots from the film, they wrote: '@camila_cabello as Cinderella, coming to Prime Video September 2021. ✨' (sic)

Camila gazes into the eyes of Nicholas Galitzine, who has been cast as Prince Robert. Sharing the gorgeous shot to his own Instagram, Nicholas wrote: 'So pleased to show you a first look at @camila_cabello and I as Cinderella & Prince Robert ✨ @cinderellamovieofficial ✨' (sic).

Although the project was originally announced what feels like decades ago, the film's release date has continued to be be pushed back due to the Coronavirus pandemic, from the initial date of 5th February 2021.

When will Camila Cabello's Cinderella film be released?

The official first look revealed that the movie will be landing on Amazon Prime Video on 3rd September 2021.

According to Deadline, Sony Pictures were reluctant to put the film out on streaming services, and previously stated the release date would be 16th July 2021.

Will it feature songs in it?

Not only is 24-year-old Camila starring in the film, co-produced by James Corden, but she's also been heavily involved in writing the music for the project, working with co-star and musical theatre icon Idina Menzel, who will play the Evil Stepmother.

When was the project announced?

Teasing fans with the announcement, Sony took to their Twitter to say, 'Grab your glass slippers and ballgowns ✨.'

Overjoyed, fans began to reply sharing their well-wishes and excitement. One fan wrote, 'what a beautiful cinderella! 😍', another saying, 'She's a real life princess 👸', and another saying, 'Wow she is absolutely a perfect choice. And the vocals! Hope there is lots of terrific music.'

Who will be in Sony's Cinderella remake?

Cinderella: Camila Cabello

Singer Camila Cabello is not only a hugely successful singer - with hits like 'Havana', 'Señorita' and 'Liar' - but she's also a talented actress too, having landed the main part in the remake of Cinderella. The 23-year-old confirmed she was playing the part in an interview with us in October 2019, saying that she'd been taking acting classes and adding that she was "so excited" and that's she's also working on music for the film.

Although this will be the first proper piece of acting that Camila has done, her music video for 'Havana' was like a short film in itself - so we can't wait to see how Camila makes the role her own!

Prince Robert: Nicholas Galitzine

Nicholas will be taking on the role of Cinderella's love interest in the upcoming remake, Prince Robert. Although a relative newcomer, the 25-year-old has recently starred in Netflix series Chambers as Elliott Lefevre.

Evil Stepmother: Idina Menzel

Musical theatre legend Idina Menzel is lending her acting chops to the film, taking on the iconic role of the Evil Stepmother. Confirmed in October 2019, Idina will channel her inner Lady Tremaine as she was known in Disney's original animated classic from 1950 - but who knows if there will be any similarities?

Idina is best known for originating the role of Elphaba the Witch in Wicked the Musical on Broadway, but is now also well-known for her voice role as Elsa in Disney's Frozen and its sequel, as well as her role in Glee. Idina also played the role of Nancy Tremaine in Enchanted, who was named after Cinderella's stepmother.

King Rowan: Pierce Brosnan

Former Bond star Pierce will be starring as Prince Robert's father, King Rowan. In the original Disney film, The King is quite keen for his son to get married, and is instrumental in reuniting the Prince and Cinderella at the end.

Although he surely needs no introduction, Pierce is best known as one of the iterations of James Bond in the film franchise. He's also well-known for his roles in Mrs. Doubtfire, The Thomas Crown Affair and the Mamma Mia! films. We've got to say, the beard makes him very regal.

Fairy Godmother: Billy Porter

In a move we're VERY excited about, Broadway icon Billy Porter will be starring in the movie as Cinderella's Fairy Godmother. Fans of the original will remember that the rather dowdy but kind Fairy Godmother in the film helps Cinderella get ready for the ball and assists her with transport. We can't wait to see what Billy brings to the table.

Billy is best known for his role in Kinky Boots, and in Netflix's The Get Down as well as Pose, and also American Horror Story: Apocalypse. Let's not forget he's also famous for his incredible sense of style and fashion sense.

Queen Beatrice: Minnie Driver

Although Queen Beatrice didn't appear in the original Disney film, she did appear in the little-known sequel A Twist in Time. It will be interesting to see what impact she has on the story in this version!

Minnie Driver is best known for her roles in films Good Will Hunting, The Phantom of the Opera, Tarzan as the voice of Jane and the TV series of About A Boy.

Drizella the Evil Stepsister: Charlotte Spencer

Drizella and her sister Anastasia make Cinderella's life hell in pretty much every single version of the story. In the Disney film, they're both incredibly jealous of Cinderella, and try to convince the Prince that they were the ones he fell in love with on the night.

Charlotte had a small role on Line of Duty as Carly Kirk, starred in The Living and the Dead in 2016 and had a voice role in Watership Down in 2018. She also starred in Sandition, and had a small part in the 2012 film adaptation of Les Misérables.

Anastasia the Evil Stepsister: Maddie Baillio

Maddie will be joining Charlotte as the other Stepsister, Anastasia. She's best known for her role as Millie Michalchuk in the Netflix film Dumplin', which also starred Jennifer Aniston. She also played the lead role of Tracy Turnblad in the NBC Live TV musical version of Hairspray Live! in 2016, along with Jennifer Hudson, Ariana Grande and Kristin Chenoweth.

Town Crier: Missy Elliott (rumoured)

Yep - Missy Elliott really does have a role in this film! She'll be playing the Town Crier.

Missy Elliott has been one of the biggest names in the music industry for the last almost 30 years. With hits like 'Work It' and 'Get Ur Freak On', we can only hope that Missy will be bringing some new music to the film.

Mouse/footman: James Corden

James is not only co-producing and writing the script for the film, but he'll also have a role as one of Cinderella's friendly neighbourhood mice. Hopefully he'll be taking on the role as the adorable Gus!

As one of the most recognisable people in the world, James is well-known for various things - whether it be as Smithy in Gavin & Stacey, or for hosting The Late Late Show in America. But this won't be his first turn in a musical film - having played The Baker in Into The Woods and the slightly less successful Cats.

Mouse/footman: Romesh Ranganathan

Comedian Romesh will be playing another of the mice/footmen. Romesh is well-known on the UK comedy circuit and panel shows, having appeared on A League of Their Own, Mock the Week, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Have I Got News For You and Would I Lie to You? amongst others.

Mouse/footman: John Mulaney

Joining James and Romesh as another mouse/footman is John Mulaney, a US comedian best known for his voice role as Andrew Glouberman on Netflix's Big Mouth. He also had a voice role on Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

Beverley Knight

Singer Beverley Knight has been confirmed for the cast of the Cinderella remake, which will be her first movie role. Speaking on Lorraine about the film, she said: "There is a Cinderella reboot starring the lovely Camila Cabello. Really sweet girl. I'm playing an aristocrat. Completely out of character! We've actually finished shooting. So, now it's just the big reveal. I can't wait for that."

Beverley is one of the best known British soul singers around the world, especially known for her hits 'Shoulda Woulda Coulda' and 'Come as You Are'. She's also had a successful musical theatre career, starring in The Bodyguard, Memphis, Cats and others.

The popular Disney fairy-tale was first released in 1950 as an animated movie; since then, we have seen various recreations, including the 1997 live-action remake featuring the legendary Whitney Houston and the 2015 version starring Mamma Mia! icon Lily James and not forgetting the new stage version by Andrew Lloyd Webber!
