Disney Theatrical Group announces today that their critically acclaimed West End production of Frozen will extend for the final time, completing its run at Theatre Royal Drury Lane after three magical years on 8th September 2024, having been seen by over 2.8 million people.

What is Frozen about?
Frozen the musical is all about Anna, Elsa and the kingdom of Arendelle. Sisters Anna and Elsa have spent a large part of their childhood apart, fearful after Elsa accidentally used her magical powers and injures Anna.
When the sisters lose their parents in a tragic boat accident, Elsa is set to become Queen of Arendelle once she turns 21. Unbeknown to her subjects, Elsa's magical powers hold great danger.
When Elsa turns Arendelle into a kingdom of eternal winter, the sisters must work together to free their people and it's here they meet a whole host of supporting characters including Olaf, Kristoff and reindeer Sven. A story of sibling love, friendship and bravery, Frozen the musical takes us on quite a ride.
Is Frozen the musical based on the film?
Frozen the musical is based on the 2013 film which itself was inspired by the Hans Cristian Andersen story The Snow Queen, Frozen is a fairytale but with a modern twist.

Is Idina Menzel in Frozen the musical?
Idina Menzel is not in Frozen the musical. The voice behind Queen Elsa and one of the most famous songs of the 21st century, Let It Go, Idina Menzel has stated that she's never actually seen Frozen the musical and has no intention to see it.
Who wrote Frozen?
Frozen the musical was written by husband and wife song writing duo, Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez who also wrote the 2013 film. Robert was the composer behind The Book of Mormon and Avenue Q.
The pair are no strangers to Disney, having worked on some Disney channel classics such as The Bear in the Big Blue House. One of their most recent projects was composing all the different theme tunes for Marvel Studios' WandaVision on Disney+.
Also on the creative team are book writer Jennifer Lee, director Michael Grandage and choreographer Rob Ashford.
How long does Frozen the musical last?
Frozen the musical lasts 2.5 hours with an interval that gives you enough time to grab an ice cream!
When did Frozen start in the West End?
Performances of Frozen began on 27th August 2021 and the show is predicted to run for a very long time to come. A range of access and relaxed performances have been confirmed as well as signed and captioned performances.

Disney's is on at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London's West End. The nearest tube stations for getting to Frozen is Covent Garden (Piccadilly Line), Holborn (Piccadilly Line, Central Line) and Temple (District Line, Circle Line).

Frozen West End: Accessibility
LW Theatres, who own the Theatre Royal Drury Lane have an access scheme designed to make it easier for people who need additional support to access facilities at their theatres. The scheme can support theatregoers with information about upcoming Access performances as well as pre-visit emails with helpful information that will ensure a smoother theatre experience.
