Bring It On The Musical cancels UK and Ireland tour dates
The show will still continue its London run

Producers of Bring It On The Musical have today confirmed that the show will no longer be going on tour following its run at the Southbank Centre’s Queen Elizabeth Hall.
This comes after the show was forced to cancel 13 performances because of COVID cases in the company.
Selladoor Worldwide said today: “Cancelling 13 performances has resulted in an overwhelming loss of income for the production during a peak period that would otherwise have provided a vital financial backbone of the tour. This lost income, amounting to hundreds of thousands of pounds, has sadly rendered the remainder of the tour financially unsustainable. It would be irresponsible for us to continue, and we therefore have no option but to cancel the remainder of the tour.
We have not taken this decision lightly and have explored every possible alternative to avoid cancellation. Selladoor remain incredibly proud of this fantastically received production and are grateful to everyone who has worked so hard on it, and to all the audiences who have cheered us on. We are only too aware of the impact this will have on our wonderful cast, crew, musicians and creative team – as well as our audiences, venues and suppliers we had been due to work with during the tour. We are heartbroken that we have been forced into this position, but the impact of these cancellations caused by Omicron has left us with no other choice.”
The musical will still finish its run in London with those scheduled performances unaffected. Customers who have purchased tickets for the UK and Ireland Tour of Bring It On The Musical will be contacted by their point of purchase.
Bring It On The Musical is based on the hit cheerleading film which was released in 2000 and is a high-flying, energy-fuelled journey which tackles friendship, jealousy, betrayal and forgiveness – wrapped up in explosive choreography and tricks.
The music is by Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton, In The Heights) and Tom Kitt (Next to Normal), lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda and Amanda Green (High Fidelity) with a book by Jeff Whitty (Avenue Q).

Amber Davis as Campbell
Amber Davis rose to fame after appearing on ITV's Love Island, following that she made her West End debut in 9 to 5 Te Musical.
Louis Smith as Cameron
Four-time Olympic medallist Louis Smith will play the role of Cameron. He also appeared on Strictly Come Dancing as well as recently being crowned the winner of The Masked Dancer.
Vanessa Fisher as Danielle
Vanessa's credits include Follies (National Theatre) and Motown the Musical (Shaftesbury Theatre).
Alicia Belgrade as Eva
Alicia has appeared in Walking on Sunshine (UK Tour).
Georgia Bradshaw as Nautica
Georgia appeared in Dreamgirls (Savoy Theatre).
Marvin Charles as Twig
Marvin appeared in Everybody's Talking About Jamie (Apollo Theatre).
Chelsea Hall as Bridget
Chelsea will be making her professional debut as Bridget.

Following consultations with members of the transgender theatre community, the show is delighted to announce star of Australian X Factor 2014, runner up of Australia's Got Talent 2009 and cast member of the most recent Asian tour of Cats.
