Julian Bird is the Chief Executive of the Society of London Theatre and UK Theatre and the Executive Producer for The Olivier Awards and UK Theatre Awards.

As well as producing the UK’s major theatrical awards, Julian has recently produced the European premiere of “Sondheim on Sondheim” and the major centenary concert honouring Alan J Lerner, both for the BBC.

Julian is actively involved in arts charities including acting as the Chair of both the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford and the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill-on-Sea; and sits on the Government’s new Expert Trade Advisory Group for the Creative Industries, as well as on the West End Partnership Board.
