Thomas Pemberton named The HomeSense Young Achiever Award Winner 2021

The Prince’s Trust believes that every young person should have the chance to embrace exciting opportunities, so they help 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to transform their lives; helping to get them into jobs, education and training.

The Trust’s programmes help young people get the skills and confidence they need to get their lives on track and last year the charity helped empower over 60,000 people turn their lives around.

Magic Radio has partnered up with The Prince's Trust and TK Maxx & Homesense Awards and is pleased to announce that Thomas Pemberton has been named the The HomeSense Young Achiever Award Winner 2021.

Thomas' Story

At 20 years old Thomas became homeless after a breakdown in his relationships at home. He turned to alcohol and drugs and was unsure where to turn.

He found help from a homelessness charity who referred him to The Prince’s Trust where he decided to join the Get Into Healthcare programme.

After a four-week placement, he secured a job in the laundry department. He has been working for the NHS ever since and became a key worker when the pandemic hit.
