Saturday night saw Team Magic complete the MoonWalk London 2018: the annual event that raises funds for vital breast cancer causes.

Thinking of signing up for 2019's event?

Here's what Lynn Parson, Amelia Stocks and Jess Iszatt learned along the way as they joined thousands of other Walkers completing the half and full marathon after-dark routes!

1) Snacks are crucial

The start gate opened at 11pm. Jess assures us that one hour later a midnight snack has never tasted so good.

Her choice? Jelly babies.

2) London never sleeps!

Despite walking through the night the team's morale was boosted by stewards and passers-by cheering them on – proving that London really is a city that never sleeps.

3) Anything goes...

...when it comes to bra decoration! This year's theme was Rodeo and we saw feathers, tassels, glitter, chiffon, ribbon and bows. Less is more definitely does not apply!

4) Walk with friends

Aside from investing in comfy trainers (and being sure to wear them in), Jess said walking with friends was the best motivation. They even ended up beating their predicted time!

5) ...or make some along the way

Morale on the night was high, which meant lots of Walkers taking time to have a chat before the off!

If you want to finding a training partner before the event there's also the option to team up with a fellow fundraiser in your area.

6. The London Eye...

... looks good in pink! It was lit up just for the occasion.

7. Crossing the finish line feels great

Whilst the walk felt challenging at points, Amelia said that crossing the finish line she knew that she'd do it all again.

In her own words... "Bring on next year!"
