This year marks the 20th anniversary of the publication of the first Harry Potter book which has spawned all sorts of excitement amongst fans.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone was just the beginning of a phenomenal franchise spanning books, films, a theme park and much, much more; so to celebrate this milestone, the book's publisher Bloomsbury, has announced two new Harry Potter books will be coming this autumn.

Whilst there is much excitement around these new books, they aren't new original stories.

Back in 2007 after the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the book's author JK Rowling, was asked about future novels and replied, "I have always said never say never, but no".

These newly announced books are 'tie-in' books accompanying the Harry Potter Exhibition at the British Library. The books will look at the subjects studied by the pupils at Hogwarts and the history of the Harry Potter world.

Although not written by JK Rowling the books are titled Harry Potter: A History of Magic - The Book of The Exhibition and Harry Potter - A Journey Through A History of Magic. Taking to Twitter earlier today (20th July) Bloomsbury revealed what the new books will look like tweeting, 'We’re thrilled to share the covers for the two tie-in books accompanying the #BLHarryPotter Exhibition this October'.

These new books aren't the only Harry Potter books out later this year with beautifully illustrated versions of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them making their debut in October. Waterstones recently tweeted a sneak peak at the books thanking the publisher for a 'private view'.
