Ed Sheeran, whilst not a Jenga champion (remember this?), yesterday picked up a title just a little more impressive!

Yes, the Thinking Out Loud singer and Magic favourite was yesterday honoured at Buckingham Palace with an MBE from Prince Charles for his contribution to music; since his debut album in 2011 Ed has won an Ivor Novello Award, two Grammys and three BRIT Awards.

Ed was the most-streamed artist of 2017 and as an ambassador of the East Anglia's Children's Hospice (of which The Duchess of Cambridge is Royal Patron), he is passionate in his charity work.

After the ceremony Ed mentioned that the date of the ceremony was particularly timely; his grandfather, "a massive royalist", had passed away on the day four years ago.

He said that the event created "quite a nice full circle" and that Bill Sheeran would be "pretty proud". We can't help but agree!

And of course, there was one question on everyone's lips: would Ed be performing at the upcoming Royal wedding?

Well, whilst he hasn't been asked, he said that he'd happily take to the stage if approached! Meghan and Harry – we know what we would do!
